Billing Automation
That Actually Works

ToD-Aware Billing Engine

Automatic classification of consumption into peak, normal, and off-peak slots. State-specific tariff tables for Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana.

  • Percentage-based and absolute ToD surcharges
  • Demand ratchet (90% for TN) and PF penalty calculation
  • kWh and kVAh billing modes per state

DG Power Tracking

Separate metering and cost allocation for grid versus diesel consumption. Track DG runtime, fuel costs, and pass-through billing accurately.

  • Source-level consumption tracking
  • Fixed-rate or actual-cost DG billing
  • Blended rate calculation options

GST-Compliant Invoicing

Auto-generated invoices with CGST/SGST/IGST calculation, GSTIN validation, and financial-year sequenced numbering. Full line-item breakdown for transparency.

  • 18% GST with automatic CGST/SGST vs IGST determination
  • GSTIN validation with Luhn-mod-36 checksum
  • Credit note issuance with GST Section 34 compliance

Tenant Self-Service Portal Roadmap

Give your tenants real-time visibility into their consumption and costs. Reduce support tickets with self-service invoice downloads.

  • Daily consumption breakdown
  • Historical trend charts
  • Invoice download center

Complete Facility
Visibility

Power, space, and cooling capacity analysis. Trend forecasting and what-if modeling for growth planning.

SLA Management Roadmap

Track uptime commitments against actual performance. Automated SLA credit calculations and reporting.

What Global DCIM Doesn't Do

Nlyte, Sunbird, and Schneider EcoStruxure are excellent at infrastructure management. But they weren't built for Indian billing complexity.

Tracks total kWh consumed
Classifies consumption into ToD peak/normal/off-peak slots
Monitors power at rack level
Separates DG consumption from grid and applies different rates
Provides energy reports
Generates GST-compliant invoices with CGST/SGST/IGST split and GSTIN validation
One global rate structure
State-specific tariff tables for MH, TN, KA, TS with regulatory references
Generic tenant portal
Admin dashboard with ToD breakdown, DG allocation, and bill generation

Frequently Asked
Questions

Which states does BharatDCIM support?

We currently support Maharashtra (MSEDCL/MERC), Tamil Nadu (TANGEDCO/TNERC), Karnataka (BESCOM/KERC), and Telangana (TGSPDCL/TSERC). These cover the four largest data center markets in India. Additional states are on our roadmap.

How do you handle kWh vs kVAh billing?

BharatDCIM automatically detects the billing unit based on the state. Maharashtra and Telangana use kVAh (apparent energy), while Tamil Nadu and Karnataka use kWh (active energy). For kVAh states, we apply power factor conversion automatically to show accurate billing.

How current is the tariff data?

Tariff data is sourced from official State Electricity Regulatory Commission orders and updated when new orders are published. Current data is verified from MERC Case 75/2025, TNERC Order 6/2025, KERC MYT 2025, and TSERC RST Order 2025-26. Monthly FAC/FPPCA charges are updated regularly.

Can I integrate with my existing metering infrastructure?

Yes. BharatDCIM includes an on-premises SNMP v2c polling agent that works with smart PDUs from APC (Schneider), Raritan, and Server Technology. We also offer a REST API and CSV import for custom integrations. You can start with manual CSV upload and add automated SNMP polling over time.

Is the e-invoice integration mandatory?

E-invoicing is currently mandatory for businesses with annual turnover exceeding Rs. 5 crore (Notification 10/2023-CT). BharatDCIM currently generates GST-compliant invoices with CGST/SGST/IGST calculation, GSTIN validation, and credit note support. IRP-compatible e-invoice generation is on our roadmap.
