How to use this model

Start with your monthly kWh or kVAh estimate, then adjust load split between peak, normal, and off-peak windows.

  • - Compare at least two states to evaluate expansion locations
  • - Simulate DG-heavy periods for outage season planning
  • - Share outputs with finance before tariff change cycles

Assumptions

Values are based on FY 2025-26 tariff schedules and representative commercial data center categories.

Final invoices can vary due to FAC/FPPCA updates, taxes, contract demand slabs, and local regulatory circulars.

How Time-of-Day
Pricing Works

Peak Hours

Higher rates during high-demand periods (typically evening hours). Surcharges range from +20% to +25% depending on state.

Normal Hours

Standard rates during regular business hours. Base energy charge applies without surcharges or rebates.

Off-Peak Hours

Reduced rates during low-demand periods (night hours). Rebates range from 5% to ₹1.50/unit depending on state.
